While an American can be of any ethnic background, the culture of America is unique in many ways because it blends so many ethnicities and cultures together.
American culture has long been represented through television. We will be viewing clips from a variety of TV shows from the 1950’s through today and using their theme songs to develop our literacy and grammar skills.
So let’s get started!
The 1950’s take us back to a time when many television shows told the stories of the Wild West. While you view this video clip think about what you believe represents American culture; the clothing, food, language, values and attitudes. What was the role of the man and the role of the woman?
